Friday once more ....

Lunch was Bak Chor Mee! My favorite stall is located at Bedok block 85 market, but that is not where we had headed to this afternoon. After watching Channel 8 last night, we decided to try out the Hill Street Tai Hua Bak Chor Mee located at Crawford Lane. We were hoping to skip the lunch crowd, arrived around 2pm and know what? The queue was super long, took nearly 30 minutes before getting our order taken.

Finally, here came the fruit of our patience! We paid $5 for one bowl, as usual I had the soup noodle. The noodle came with generous serving of ingredients from pork ball, slice pork and liver plus crispy fish. What I like about Bak Chor Mee would have been the pork balls and flavorful soup. Conclusion, this was nothing compared to Bedok Bak Chor Mee, you maintained as my number 1 choice! Sadly, Bedok market will be closed for renovation for as long as 11 months. Crossing my fingers, hopefully the stalls are moving to the temporary space at Block 83! I am so addicted to your noodles!

Rochester Park ...
After lunch, we met Hazel for a tea-break at Rochester Park! StarBucks was overcrowded by students, eventually we landed in a peaceful corner of PIES & COFFEE just across StarBucks. The Golden Jasmine tea was pretty good and my boy seems to have enjoyed his Oreo cheesecake and Aloe Vera tea. 

Kent Ridge Guild House ...
Dinner was as planned, we had Peranakan food and it did bring back memories of Malacca. Duck soup, Rojak, Assam Laksa, Chendol, how can the menu not bring us back to Malacca! My favorite was Rojak which I mixed and matched the ingredients myself with extra sauce and grounded peanuts, of course not forgetting the mouth watering duck soup which I had two serving. For the price of $12.90, we enjoyed a wide selection of Malaysia delights in one buffet station. All thanks to Hazel for the recommendation tonight!

San Francisco ....

Presents from San Francisco, thank you Hazel and Ken! We hope to visit San Francisco soon, love the magnets with our names printed! I am so poisoned now with another holiday destination, hopefully we can make it there this year.
