JUST DO IT

I have been glancing at a magazine page right in front of me for many times. So what's on it?

"People are much more likely to regret not going after a goal than trying something that doesn't plan out." I admit for the past years I really made some sound choices and I also failed badly with some. I guessed I am in the category of being a woman who worry too much. Hoping to change my perspective slowly, when you think you can do it just do it! Will I see the fruits coming soon? Most of the times, I am always wishing for this and that, now I don't and I will not. Simply believe, you are the only person who can make it happened.

Well Well Well ....

Weather looks pretty good this morning, as I am blogging I am also enjoying my cuppa of green jasmine tea. Trying to review some of my achievements for the past few months, I did learn and picked up some new stuffs. Proudly to say, finally bought my own Ukulele and started some lessons in the office during lunch time. It's the first time to enjoy such luxury during office hours with a external hired teacher, she's cute too. A class of 10-12 of us, jamming our way adding drumming effects from skipping lunch

Last week, through a Japanese ex-colleague I started knitting my first bear. I must say Japanese in general is very creative and adventurous too! She just too talented in my aspects in life. I really enjoyed a lovely afternoon knitting, chit chatting and having a cup of fruit tea with home made biscotti. Life is good. Can't wait to have my own house too! It was a amazing view of the skyline at level 47 of Duxon Hill. Counting, lets assume since last week I made about 4 bears in total! Not too bad yeah for a beginner like me? Pinky bear is my newest collection, 99% completed. I need to find a pair of eyes for Pinky.

Last, sharing my love with MAUBOUSSIN collections:

Good old times ...

Haven't been updating my blog for a long time since I started work in March. Here's a piece of good news to share, finally passed my 3 months probation earlier than I expected. Time seems to pass by like a breeze, I have been repeating this statement many times that I am losing count.

You know what, this morning while I was having breakfast at West Coast Market I met the cleaning auntie to who works for my last company. It was surprise to see her! I could no longer recognize her look probably because of a new hair style. Meeting her kind of bring back some good old memories of my last work place. Thinking back, I do miss the people and environment sometimes.

Anyway, oh my god the weather today is killing me. So hot and I am blogging this not in the comfort of my own room but in the kitchen as my boy is busy home cleaning his room. Hopefully the weather gets back so that I can enjoy my Vietnamese food later.

Sigh, there are just too many things I wish to do but age is definitely catching up with me.

Learning to play a ukulele
1- First I need to buy a good ukulele to get started!
2-Self learn if join a class.

Learning fashion design
My research shows it takes 3 years to complete a diploma course and there is hardly any school in Singapore that offers the course as part-time.

Learning to bake
Not ambitious at all, I just want to learn how to make icing cupcakes and macaroons.

Invisalign
I need to have at least 8K to do this.

Travel list
Happy #1-Bangkok again, yes I wish I can do this annually
Happy #2-Somewhere in Australia, Sydney perhaps!
Happy #3-Korea, to do some spring summer shopping. This is plan for next year ....
Happy #4-San Francisco, my boy told me so many good things and I have not been there!

If life could be much simpler and less demanding. I wish for more freedom and letting everyday takes its course than worrying what to do next. Alrighty, ending my blog today with some photo digest, recent buys and visits to some of my favorite places.

Necklace from A-lodge (Far East Plaza)

Happy ducks from Wood Wood @ Mandarin Gallery.
All 4 duckies went home happily with me.

My recent visit to Franc Franc @ Vivo City.
Inspiration for my future new home, bring me back to Paris!

Lemon tart

New love for lemon tarts! This was a random surprise discovered along Joo Chiat Road while enjoying my favourite Vietnamese food across the street in Phung Long. Surely I have never tasted anything like this before, the lemon tarts was made with love and contain an even consistency of sweetness and sourness and I am so craving for it now.

Upon entering the humble bakery, I was warmly served by a Australian accent lady (I reckoned she is the lady boss) whom quickly introduced me to the pastry selections at the bread project. Wish I could have a taste of all their pastries as everything looks so appealing to me. Adding to my bakery shopping was Bostok, likely because of the generous topping of almonds and of the course the name. Doesn't the name reminds you of Botox? Anyway it is another hot favourite among her customers as she commented that I made a good choice. Well well well, no words can sufficiently describe my first bite of Bostok, so deliciously good and yummy for breakfast, double the happiness to enjoy it with a cup of coffee or tea. Kill the Monday blue with Bostok!

Very soon again, I will be making my way back to the bread project for more pastries.

It was the first team outing that I get to go off at 2pm. It was a short drive to East Coast Park from office, just 10 minutes away. Apparently, we were the early birds among the technology team. Bright and sunny, I felt the heat slowly crawling up my skin. Everyone were busy rubbing on sunblock, except me.

It was a fun afternoon with lots of team building games to bring different groups of Technology as one. The game that required me to go round a water bottle 10 times, made me seriously dizzy. I remember the moment after the 10 rounds, I started falling to the ground. My colleagues were attempting to balance on the narrow belt tied between two trees. Apparently it looks easy but requires a lot of leg power and good balancing skills to walk on the belt. I had a few games of "Dai Di" with my colleagues, though it has been a long time since I played the card game I am still doing pretty ok. At least I won one game.

Tummy started growling, a few of us were munching chips and drinking beer while waiting for BBQ. It was amazing to have the caterer to BBQ all the food for us. Love the satays, squid and mushrooms! The night was breezy along the beach, probably the latest ever stay over in East Coast for me. Thinking back on how mummified I was transformed at the games and thrown a few water bombs, it has been a awesome day!

Bugs

Feeling so sick for the weekend, flu bug and a rough throat making me drowsy and sleepy for the last two days. Glad I am getting better, hmmm not quite with the hot weather as I am slowly developing a headache.

Anyway, bf going to be away for a month so I need to find my own activities to keep myself occupied for the weekend. So wish I can join him at San Francisco but seems impossible since I just started with my new job not long ago. Guess the timing is just not right, so envious and jealous! Now i believe, Good things really goes to those who waits. I should have hang on a little longer for this deal.

Humans are always not easily satisfied, I am one of the many. I need to look back on the days when I am out of job to start appreciating things ahead of me. Learn to take things at a step, be patience with the people around me and believe everything is possible if you try! Positive vibes injected, hopefully this will get me further in anything I do moving forward.

From work, I started learning the importance of asking WHY? Honestly, this hasn't been my usual word choice used in my last working environment as we were so accustomed to give what the customer wants. Time to get my perspective right to manage a different group of users now. WHY? WHAT? WHEN? WHERE? The four important Ws at work.
